Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council has unveiled ambitious plans to revamp the town centre, with a focus on attracting new businesses and improving the experience for shoppers.
The proposals include redesigned public spaces, new street furniture, improved lighting and a dedicated support fund for independent retailers.
Council leader Simon Tagg said the plans were a major investment in the future of the town. "We want Newcastle to be a place people are proud of and excited to visit," he said.
A public consultation will run through next month with residents invited to have their say on the proposals.
